Welcome!

The idea for Feeding7Sisters began when my older girls would text me asking for  recipes when I was at a baseball game, or a movie, or work.  “Mom, where’s your recipe for Penne ala Vodka”?  “Send me a copy of your spin-dip” (aka my “World Famous Spinach Dip”).  I have to admit that my recipes at home were photo copies of recipes shoved in other  food magazines or cookbooks, and  I couldn’t always remember which favorite pasta recipe was where, so often I had to tell them I couldn’t help them right then.

My name is Linda Denning and I have been cooking since I was about 12.  I bought my first set of Le Creuset cookware when I was 17 and saved it in the back of my closet for a few years until I moved out on my own.  I now have seven girls with a 14 year age span between them.  It is my hope that with this blog I not only finally get my favorite recipes organized in one spot, but I also like knowing  my girls will be able to pull them from  thin air whenever they need them (although I do hope they remember to text me and tell me how the dish turned out!). I’d love to hear from you if you make any of my recipes, or feel free to share any recipes or ideas you have based on your own kitchen experiences!  So many times I start with one recipe and end up with another, adding things here and there, sometimes just because it’s what I have on hand, and if that happens with you and one of my recipes, I’d love to hear about it!
